The author website was the next step in giving D.L. Grace and The Operator Series a coherent home online.
It needed to do more than introduce the books. The site had to support discovery and sales across Apple Books, Amazon Kindle and signed physical copies, while building authority around Dominic's background and wider body of work.
Because the series identity had already been developed through the cover art, the website could carry that atmosphere forward without creating a separate digital look. The key decision was to make the books and purchase routes immediately clear, then use Dominic's story and supporting content to build depth around them.
The result is a focused author and ecommerce platform with clear routes into each title, a consistent visual world and enough flexibility to grow with future books, news and promotional activity.
I came to Ryan at Studio Aitch with a brief for two book covers and an author website. I left with a series identity. The second cover became the defining driver for the whole brand. It gives the series an atmosphere and a visual language that ties the series together.
What sets Ryan apart is the combination of listening and pushing. He takes the brief seriously, then suggests directions I had not considered and would not have arrived at alone. Every round of iteration moved the work forward and upward. Professional, friendly, quick to respond, willing to challenge the norm and push boundaries when it serves the brief.
If you want a designer that goes further, Ryan at Studio Aitch is the only choice. I will now only use studio aitch and Ryan for future projects, a brand I can trust.
